Richards is the unorthodox host and producer of Cabbie Presents, a weekly segment on TSN’s highly-rated Sportscentre.

Unlike traditional broadcasters, he trades barbs up with athletes for light-hearted segments.

A self-described performance artist and party crasher, Richards has a fabulous list of people he has interviewed: basketball legends Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant, skateboarder Tony Hawk and hockey stars Sidney Crosby and Wayne Gretzky.

Richards found out they were “regular dudes, man. They have an amazing athletic ability, but if you talk to them like real people, even Michael Jordan and Kobe, they just want to talk about music, movies and girls.”

After graduating from Ryerson University’s Radio and Television Arts program, Richards became an intern with The Score in 2001, then pitched his own show – Cabbie on the Street.

Richards has also been a correspondent on The Marilyn Denis Show on CTV, finding interesting interviews on entertainment, lifestyle, health and human interest.

A star in his own right in the Twitterverse, Richards has won thousands of followers on his official Twitter page @Cabbie.

Daryn Jones became a staple of Canadian television in 2006 when he took on the role of host and creative producer of MTV Canada’s flagship series MTV Live. During his six years on MTV he became known for his sharp wit and infectious energy. While there he had the opportunity to interview a variety of newsworthy guests including Tom Cruise, Weird Al Yankovic and Quentin Tarantino.

Born in Victoria, BC, Daryn began his career in stand-up comedy clubs at the age of 17. After establishing himself in Toronto, he partnered with comedian Mista Mo to create and co-host the award-winning comedy series Buzz. Originally airing on the Rogers Community Television in the mid-nineties, Buzz was picked up by the Comedy Network where Daryn’s wry humour and guerilla-style attack comedy found a burgeoning fan base. The show ran on Comedy Network from 2000 to 2005 garnering Daryn a Gemini Award for Best Writing of a Comedy Series in 2001.

In 2004, before the end of Buzz, Daryn joined the Rick Mercer Report as a writer and on-air correspondent. After a 6 year run at MTV, he was named as host of Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Over the Rainbow, the live, national search for Dorothy that aired on CBC Television in the 2012–13 season. After the conclusion of the show, Jones made regular appearances on Hockey Night in Canada for its 60th season.

Gary has spent more than 12 years in digital communications and worked with a variety of clients including American Express, Johnson & Johnson, Sun Life Financial and Molson, building digital and social media strategies and campaigns.

As the Managing Director of Ruckus, Gary works with a number of national and international brands developing social and digital programs encompassing paid, owned and earned spaces. While a true jack-of-all-trades in the digital arena, his passion and expertise revolve around the creation of compelling, emotional content and nurturing online communities into highly engaged brand advocates.

Jackie Redmond is a graduate of the Guelph-Humber Media Studies program who is now working as an on-air personality at Rogers Sportsnet.

She is currently a national network anchor on Sportsnet’s flagship highlight show, Sportsnet Central as well as the host and producer of Sportsnet’s highly rated Plays of the Month andMisplays of the Month countdowns.

In 2011, Jackie competed on theScore Television Network’s reality series Gillette Drafted: The Search for Canada’s Next Sportscaster and became the first and only female to win the competition in its history.

Since winning, Jackie has hosted various studio programs and reported from the field covering everything from hockey to WWE and even international diving in Australia.

When she has “free time” she also produces short-form pieces that have featured the likes of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Phil Kessel, Drew Doughty, Martin Brodeur, Jeremy Roenick, Mats Sundin, Joe Thornton and Paul “BizNasty” Bissonnette.

Corbin Smith is an award-winning photographer, writer, and web media innovator.
