Good morning, afternoon and evening to all of our loyal readers at whatever time you may be reading this. My name is Matt, and I am another cog in the machine that is the writing and editing team for Emerge 2022: The Media Reset. Like my colleagues, I am specializing in Public Relations, and I hope to bring my passion for writing and music into the working world.
As you know, Emerge this year is all about showing resilience in the face of a global pandemic. The hard working students putting this conference together thought of no one better to speak about this topic than Jian Magen of the Magen Boys Entertainment Group (MBE)!
Exciting, Right?
My fellow students and I had the pleasure of meeting Jian virtually last year when he came as a guest speaker for one of our many lectures and we all agreed that he was quite the entertaining fellow. I have also spoken to him personally for an assignment earlier this year and loved every second I was able to talk to him. Jian told me about the many exciting things he and his brother have done since they launched the company nearly 23 years ago.
So inevitably, we were going to ask him if he would like to kick off the conference this year as our keynote speaker for the silver lining session! And to our delight, he said yes!
The hype is real, people!
I have always been intrigued by Jian’s story. He and his twin brother (yes he has a twin), Page, started MBE back in the olden days, 1999, as a two-man disc jockey team. Today, MBE is Canada’s number one turn-key event production and entertainment company.
Anyway I don’t want to say too much and risk spoiling what Jian has to say. However, I will say this, my friends and I are beyond excited to have Jian kick off the Media Reset and we are all looking forward to you guys finally meeting the man himself in person on March 29 and virtually on March 30.
